A couple of hours ago I downloaded “CacheOutX” to clean out my cache.

I ran it and found that it appears to have completely removed Java from my MacBook. I am not pleased, as you may imagine.

I looked on the Java site and it said to run Software Update. I did. It says that there is no new software.

Can anyone help me re-install Java? I need to download the Mac basic version from somewhere. My System disks are in storage in a million boxes at Bekins.

    I guess I’m in trouble.

    Can you help me please?

    System 10.5.8.

    Harry
