Jan? I have a major HVX problem I can’t seem to get help with
Hello Jan, (and anyone else that reads this)
I have a very new (1.5 month old) HVX200 that seems to be defective.
It has jerky looking motion on any moving shots, and it seems like, after much investigation that the camera is somehow adding pull-down to everything, not just 24p footage.
The problem is most obvious when doing a pull (starting zoomed all the way out) with anything with horizontal and/or vertical lines in the shot. It seems to have duplicate frames every 4-5 frames… Is it even possible that the camera could be doing this? Either way, I had to miss out on a great opportunity to capture some nice HD footage for our archive today and had to shoot in SD with a DVX instead (not a big deal, but I wanted to have the stuff for the archive.)
I’m wondering if this is a problem that anyone else has had? It happens with every framerate, both progressive and interlaced, and it happens when shooting to P2, Firestore FS-100 and to tape… Same problem each time, but more noticeable with progressive footage…
Thanks in advance for any help anyone might be able to offer. By the way, I did not notice this problem at first, but I have footage that I shot right after I got the camera that clearly shows the problem.
Thanks so much,
Tim
