February 1, 2012 at 5:19 pmYou have to set the video output resolution from the OS X system Preference Black Magic application.
If you monitor audio through BM device you have to set the ouput to blackmagic device in the sound preference of OS X as well.
Let me know how it goes for you, it’s working “ok” here but of course this is beta so no complaining. The biggest issue for me is after playback from the timeline the screen is always black, it doesn’t stop on the frame you stop or pause. You have to fiddle around with the scrubber or click on different clips to make the image come back.
Playback feels steady.

February 1, 2012 at 5:31 pmI checked System Prefs before posting, and it does say Desktop Video 9.2, but under the BM app in System Prefs, I don’t have any resolution choices.

February 1, 2012 at 5:51 pmYep, that did the trick. A little cumbersome to have to switch it in system prefs, but it’s a start.
Now if I could only figure out a way to get my edit out in a format my ProTools guy can use (a la OMF)…
I can dream can’t I!Tangier

February 1, 2012 at 5:57 pmSurely it’s that I have an Intensity Pro. I don’t have all those options, including Set default video standard.

February 1, 2012 at 7:42 pmStill no image here. I can send the audio to the SDI monitor from FCPX, but no image.
I tried different resolutions from the BM preferences panel (set the video standard as) but no video out yet.
Any ideas please?
thank you

February 13, 2012 at 6:00 pmYes,
You have to set the audio from the apple system preference / sound.
Set output device to “blackmagic design…”
thanks,
RJ
