If you’re already an owner, you know the power of this tool and now it’s even better.
Details are on the iZotope site.

Best of all is the VERY LOW introductory price of $149 (regularly $349) for RX 2 or $499 (regularly $1199) for RX 2 Advanced.

Those are upgrade prices if you already own the software.

If you’re buying it brand new, prices are as follows (still a darn good deal!!).
    RX 2 for $249 (reg. $349)
    RX 2 Advanced for $749 (reg. $1199)

Offer valid until October 31, 2010.

    Hi Mike.

I’m just getting back from a trip.

I have been using Sony Noise Reduction 2.0. I understand the functionalty will be built into Vegas Pro 10.

I don’t mean to be ignorant, but what kinds of things do you use iZotope RX for? I have waayyyy too many irons in the fire, and tools I still need to learn. Is it going to clean up my audio that much?

    Thank you.

    Norman

    Hi Mike.

Sorry to have asked a stupid question.

You and John both recommend it, so I believe I should get it (and now we will see if I can figure out how to use it 🙂

Norman, it’s not a stupid question at all.
iZotope can do things that Sound Forge tries to do but can’t.
I’m an amateur with it but have heard some amazing clean-up done with it that I never would have thought possible such as drastically reducing handling noises (thuds and pops) from a poor quality hand-held microphone.
If you’re comfortable with Sound Forge and have little need for anything more powerful, forget about it as the learning curve can be a bit steep.
Having said that, there are some excellent tutorials on the iZotope site that will help get you started.
