OK, I have a spaceship flying along, attached to it is a camera, placed slightly behind the spaceship. All is good, the animation gives a rear view – no prob. looks like we are trailing behind the ship in another ship.

But the flight is just too smooth – so I think I’ll add a vibrate object to the camera to shake up the image. So I add a vibrate object and set the position vibration in two planes and expect the whole scene in front to shake a little.

Nah – What happens is that the camera suddenly jumps to the origin of the ship it is a sub object of! Shake seems to mean ‘transfer axis’ what else could it be?

Can anyone explain the logic behind this? If you try to ‘move’ the camera back it won’t! Shake seems to lock it to the ships axis. Why doesn’t shake simply ‘shake’ the object it is connected to? The manual is no help……

    Anyone?
