iTunes Video and Audio Asset Guide
Hello everyone,
I’m desperately looking for info on how to be able to make the right video/audio format and not get refused by iTunes Store.
According to their iTunes Video and Audio Asset Guide 5.2.6 Specs, and to my understanding, the HD Video format must be in the format below:
- Apple ProRes 422 (HQ) or 4444 or 4444 (XQ)
- VBR expected at ~220 Mbps
- MPEG-1 layer II stereo
- 384 kpbs
- 48Khz
- Included in the same file as the delivered video
- Deliver all content in an MPEG-2 Program Stream file container
- The .mpg file extension is expected for all MPEG-2 content
- Audio must be delivered muxed with the video stream
After 2 overnights of work and research, It seemed to me impossible to get all specs together in 1 File!
Is there a way to make a Prores 422 HQ codec and “Mpeg-1 Layer 2” audio wrapped into an Mpeg-2 PS container?
Or i misunderstood their spec document?and one more question, any resources could teach/help making all the necessary to meet the ITunes Store high standards?
Thank you very much for the help.
Regards,
Reda Alouache.
