    As the title,

it’s true that a kona under bootcamp using the xena driver can be used in windows?

I would like to use it with premiere and cineform file , they support only xena under windows , but i think i can’t use a xena in my mac pro , so i would like to use the kona and bootcamp

    Thanks

There is a cineform codec for Mac I think, and also a mac version of Premiere…

[Gabriele Turchi] “it’s true that a kona under bootcamp using the xena driver can be used in windows? “

with the most current build of the drivers yes.

that being said it will not work on older versions of the OS or Software – only the latest versions of Premier and FCP support this driver.

It is also recommended that you bootup directly into XP to make sure that the card is being fully handled by windows and not doing a windows >< mac emulation. gary adcock Studio37 HD & Film Consultation Post and Production Workflows Inside look at the IoHD

    Thanks!
So it works 100% of the features?features mean like a full xena?

Ps: I know there is a cineform mac codec , but under windows they have a
    lot more performance and features

    Thanks

if your main boot up is from a XP volume and not a mac volume that is correct- you cannot do this with bootcamp running inside the MacOS – you need to bootup directly into XP

I’ve just bought a Kona (on delivery) …

I really hope it will work as a xena under bootcamp…
