It’s that time of year….
The annual appearance of our vintage aluminum Christmas tree just always makes our already-kitschy lobby a bit extra tacky… and festive!
Although last year I had a perfect record during assembly, this year I broke not one but four of the blue balls (Darren McGavin from A Christmas Story: “It’s a blue ball!”). Yikes! Butterfingers today, I guess.
Here’s hoping you all have a great holiday season. This time of year generally gets super busy for us (which is both a good thing and a bad thing), so we have to make an extra effort to take a breath and enjoy the festivities. Hope you all do too!

By the way, drinking a Grape Nehi will also have that same effect. Try it.
Sadly, I only took the tree down last week. Partly because we were busy… but mostly because it’s a pain in the rear to take apart and pack away and I just kept putting it off.

Well I bought mine in an antique store about 20 years ago… but there are usually bunches of them for sale on eBay, both vintage ones as well as reproductions.
