Its possible to import PSD with smart object into Adobe Premiere? (or AE or Media Encoder?) I’m doing some adjustments to video clips in Photoshop with plugins from Alien Skin (which are only for Photoshop). You have to convert the video clips to a smart object, otherwise it will not work. The problem is rendering in Photoshop is very slow and I have to render my project twice. Is there a solution for this?

Import the PSDs into After Effects.

Thanks. Does it work even when I use plugins (from Alien Skin) in Photoshop that are not designated for AE? I tried to import such PSD file, but I dont see the applied effects (AE says there are missing filters). Maybe it cant be done or maybe I’m doing something wrong…

No, After Effects doesn’t understand third-party Photoshop filters. If you need to use the results of those, save out a flattened image file.

When I use flatten image on the video file, the result is just one frame, not the whole video.
