So, I’ve got a c4d scene where camera makes a zoom out movement. I woould like to add some particles in mouvement around the scene, so I tought in using Trapcode Particular.
But for now it’s impossible to achieve the look what I would like. At the moment I compose the scene in AE, the 3D grid in Particular stays behind or above the c4d composition (I’ve render in alpha channel). As I created a box with particles in movement, I would like the particles where behind the c4d scene, above, under, between the objects… Got the same feeling as we have in the c4d scene, with the camera passing by across the particles.
I’ve tried with just the camera from c4d and the tiff export, with cineware and the entire c4d scene, I’ve seen some tutorials in YouTube who talks about the z-depth, but at this point I’m really wondering if it’s possible to make this combination?

Yes, you can use the C4D z-depth pass to occlude particles in 3D in Particular. More manageable if you pre-render the C4D beuaty and z-depth passes and composite as footage in AE.
