It’s Getting On My Nerves
Posted by Bernd Garving on June 27, 2006 at 7:35 amHi there …
is there a chance to keep the Current Render Details open? The window closes automatically, seconds after I opened it.
Which setting has to be changed? Thanks in advance.
Regards from good old Germany.

Try to reinstall the program, remove it from you machine, then go to C:/Programfiles/Adobe and delete the After Effects folder, reboot you machine and reinstall the program.I should work.

Before you go this far, just try deleting After Effects’ preferences file, usually found here if you’re on a PC:
C:\Documents and Settings\USER NAME\Application Data\Adobe\After Effects\Prefs
If you’re on a Mac, it should be in somewhere in Library/Application Support/Adobe
Whenever something wonky happens with After Effects, that’s the first place I look. If you make regular backups of your prefs, then you won’t lose anything if they get corrupted.

… thanx a lot. Great advice. It works.
But please tell me … where do you get those infos? I searched the help files and the official AE book. I couldn’t find both the place where to change the default and your hint.
Regards.
