It’s been a while – but just about to upgrade….

My first post to this forum – so umm…hello 🙂
Bit of a newbie question here. I have used PI before some years back and am up to version 2. I would very much like to upgrade as I have some unexpected time on my hands (made redundant!!) whish has allowed me to get on with more 3D and other artwork.
My question is about v3. Is it possible to use a sequence of frames (generated from Lightwave in this case) as the background in version 3. Each frame being the equivalenet of a frame in PI. Then I can add my PI effects and finally save out a composited video file?

Yup, just select the first frame of your sequence in the layer background import options, and you’ll get prompted on whether to use just that image or the whole sequence. This can even be done in version 2.

I remember working with AVIs before but nt sure about individual frames.
Right, as soon as the wife isn’t looking I’ll get the upgrade 🙂
