It’s Basic, but I can’t seem to figure it out…!
I know this is basic, but I can’t seem to conquer it. I have an AE project and I’m saving my renders, pre-renders and movies to a folder within a bigger folder – let’s say it’s called “SEA WORLD”. All my files associated with “SEA WORLD” are in that master folder in other subfolders, “Artwork”, “Audio”, etc.
I close that folder and start work on a project called “AT&T”. All of it’s parts (movies, renders, files, etc.) have been saved to a master folder called “AT&T”. When I open the AT&T folder, and go to save something, it defaults to the previous folder I was working with in AE called “SEA WORLD”. Even though I’ve saved everything from the “AT&T” project in the “AT&T folders.
Why don’t the save locations follow the project? If I get in a hurry, I risk saving to a folder not remotely connected to the one I think I’m saving to. Isn’t there a way to keep the save locations RELATIVE to the project file? If so, I can’t find it…
Thanks for any help. Mark
