It keeps crashing!
I am working on a new Intel IMac and I am trying to install Motion 2. I can install it, but when I try to launch it… it opens for a second, then shuts down. I have installed it a few times to see if that helps… but it still shuts down. Any ideas?

Have you done the crossgrade? If not your PPC version of Motion won’t work on an intel box.

The cross grade from FCP 5.0.x to 5.1.x was available for around 18 months. The offer ended several months ago, before the introduction of FCP 6. What it did was to provide you with a version of FCP, Motion, DVDSP, Compressor & Live Type that would run on an Intel based Mac. If your current version of FCP is 5.0.x, then your only real option right now is to buy the upgrade to FCP 6, aka FC Studio 2.
