I’ve posted about this before back in october I believe. It has to do with slow motion in Final Cut Express HD. Im shooting footage on a Sony HDR FX1 with a shutter speed of 1/2000. When I bring my footage in and slow it down to, let’s say, 50 percent and turn on frame blending, we all know how you get that ghost frame kind of look to it when the subject moves right? well, for some weird reason when I added a simple fade in to the footage it DID NOT have that frame blending look to it. It also DID NOT have the look of being ‘un frame blended,’ like a strobe look… It looked really good actually. I have no idea how it happened or what I did. Is this just some kind of anomaly that happened for no reason at all? I’d love to be able to make my slowed down footage look like this every time I want to use the effect. help!
