So I tried.
I export my .srt file again as a .stl (in Aegisub)

In MC I put on a SubCap Effect. Wrote anything to prepare the lay-out. Then import the .stl file.
– The lay-out didn’t apply
– I only import 8 Minutes of subtitles (96 titles). The movie is 1hour 15…

I tried a few times more, and another sequence and so on. Always this 96 titles limitation. Do you have an idea how to handle this issue?

You will probably find an error in the source file around the 96 caption position. The subcap effect is picky and needs everything to be correct.
I’d normally do the subcaps in 3 or more chunks to make it easier to track issues.

Look at the file in a text editor and you should be able to spot an extra carriage return or something else unexpected.

actually I found nothing special, but I’m gonna try the trick to divide it in smaller segments.

You will find something wrong. Don’t forget some characters can’t be displayed but are present.
The subscap effect requirements are simple but also inflexible. I’ve had many occasions when the imported titles aren’t complete and its always a tiny error in the source file.
