  • Issues with the ai13 Codec in Final Cut Pro 6 and Quick Time

I imported a timeline from Final Cut 7 to my Final Cut 6 using XML files.

I reconnected all the media except for one file which uses the ai13 codec. When I try to render the timeline I’m getting an error that says the Codec could not be found.

I installed the AVC Intra Decoder v1.5 and get the same error.

I also tried opening the raw file in Quick Time and got a similar error.

Here are the two screenshots with errors:

Suggestions? Any help would be appreciated.

I haven’t found nothing about that codec in Google.
Try to open the file with VLC and see what happens.

I believe this is an AVC-Intra codec. You’d have to use Log and Transfer if you have the P2 plug-in to bring it into the project. Not sure if you need to recreate a folder structure for the file.

I can not guarantee that it will work in FCP 6.
