Issues with installing Sony Vegas Studio 10 HD onto computer
I am a primary school teacher, who is trying to install Sony Vegas Studio 10 onto 30 computers in our school ICT lab.
We have Windows 7 as our operating system.
We have successfully installed Acid and Sound Forge from the Studio Suite.
We cannot get Vegas and DVD Architect to install. The technician support we have been directed to through the company we bought the software has no idea.
The problem is that the setup wizard will not run. We select “Install Sony Vegas” and then we get a funny little icon which is meant to be the install wizard – but we can’t do anything with it.
We have tried to install the disc on – XP desktops and laptops, Windows 7 desktop and laptops; Lenovo, Dell, Acer machines; With the virus protection enabled and disabled; We’ve tried installing it on machines with Microsoft office 2007 and Microsoft office 2010.
We are running out of things to try…
Any suggestions…

It looks like the “icon” your arrow points to is a window that has opened at a stupidly small size. Try stretching the window by dragging the edges outward, as if you were resizing a normal window.

What if you don’t use the wizard and you just run the executable directly?
I don’t have the install disk in front of me. It’s not difficult to find though. Just try exploring the files on the disk.
I think it’s under the setup folder… then sony vegas folder or something to that effect.
