Issues with Effect Editor
Hey this has me puzzled… I am new to using Media Composer 2.7.2, actually my first full project with MC. I am playing with some footage of a car that needs to get a bump in speed and I tried a couple of the Timewarp effects and the effect editor does not have any controls for the effects, plus, whenever I click on the timeline again the effect editor disappears. This happens with most of the effects I have tried, and I am getting a bit frustrated. This never happened with Xpress Pro, is this a MC bug?? Any thoughts??

apply time warp, open the effect controls, open your ramp in your time warp and adjust keyframes to your liking. You can close the effect editor when done.
You can also just match fram a clip in your sequence and use a motion effect from that point.

The Timewarp effect controls come up in the Motion Effect editor, not the regular Effect Editor.
Sometimes the Motion Effect Editor pops up behind other windows….look around, it may have popped up somewhere but is hidden.

Ok… here’s what you do.
Apply the timewarp effect to your clip.
in effect editing mode click on the clip.
then click on the effect editor panel
then click on the clip again.
THEN CLICK ON THE EFFECT EDITING BUTTON ON THE TIMELINE (the button that is grouped with the source/record and trim editing buttons)this will evoke the motion editing panel to pop up.
