Issues with doing insert edits to D5 deck, 1080i 59.94
Hi all,
Just wondering if anyone has had issues when doing insert edits on a Panasonic D5 HD3700B from a Kona 2? Issues are:
1. Deck won’t let me preview edits. It goes through the motions, but does not click in to EE mode when the insert occurs. I only see the original footage on the tape.
2. Black frames are added to the end of the inserts. Also, can’t seem to lock proper time code.
3. Edit to tape window shows different code – usually off by a frame or two – when shuttling on the tape. Is this because of the 59.94 vs 29.97?

Needed to be set to Panasonic 59.94 in deck control.
