We mainly use our storages based on Areca 6060 for video capturing applications (on both PC and Apple). When we make video capturing with saving data on the storage or external data copying on the storage everything works well, until we are not trying to make internal coping or loop data copying from one volume to another (inside the storage volumes) or until we are not trying to make some video rendering those data that already have been captured and have been saved on the storage. In such situations we often faces with Windows write delay failed and at the same time storage hands-up, until next manually restart. Recently we have spent a lot of our time for explanation of our problems with ARC6060 to Areca support guys but unfortunately it war fruitless conversation with them. We didn

We do use two different ARC-6060’s without problems.

Do you get any failure/warning events in ARC-6060 log?
What version do you use? SCSI or FC?
Do you get any related events in Windows Events log
    exept “dealayed windows write failed”?
The latest public firmware is 1.41.
    What version do you have?

There are no any abnormal related events in log.

You should have only two SCSI bus reset messages after boot.

There are two items in my mind.
May be you have done it already.

    ARC-6060 doesn’t have inside termination,
you have to terminate this end of SCSI cable by yourself.
This item is badly documented in manual.

Not all U320 labelled cables are equal quality.
May be it is worth of testing another cable from different vendor.

    Just trying to help.
