Issues with After Effects/Cinema 4D 3D tracking perspective
Hey guys,
I’m a noob to all of this but I’m slowly trying to edit this little video. I’m having trouble with working out how I can track my effects onto my face if I’m turning my head once the camera pans up to show my face after my arm has been covered in veins as you can see below? I’ve tracked my face in Cinema 4D which works until I turn my head where the effect then moves away from my face?

Whichever tracking system you are using, you’re limited by the fact you are only able to provide 2D information of a 3D object. Best guess is that C4D will not have enough information to maintain the track in 3 dimensions. Have you tried AE’s face tracker? It might be a better alternative here.
