  • Issues when exporting

The original footage is 25 fps since it was taken with a camera, Is a video mpeg.

To accommodate and prepare to export the problem is. I tried with 1000 combinations, Both codecs and compressors, From 23.97 fps to 30 fps. Always emphasizing the 25fps that comes in the original video.

In each of the videos will be exported to reproduce Dan a slight "jump" over the video, The audio is perfect, So frustrating are the "jump" that Dan. To "jump" I mean that any frame skips, Almost imperceptible.

You ought to mention the Brand and model of the Cam that was used, the version of the software used and some system specs, that would people who may try to help a clearer picture of whats going on

Unless you export to the same exact frame rate, you will see this jump.

At 24p, you are removing frame, and at 29.97 you are repeating some, no way around it.

If you are seeing this at 25p, then this could have to do with the original footage not being properly supported by Premiere.

    It’s a simple Sony CyberShot DSC-W50 photo camera…

The DSC-W50 has two movie modes, mpeg fine(640×480,30fps), mpeg standard(640×480,16fps), You might want to adjust a custom preset to reflect this.

This sounds very much like the problem I am having and recently posted, see:

Exporting Sequence to H.264. AVCHD footage. by Sam Green on Aug 13, 2009 at 11:05:11 pm

No-one seems to have any answers to this – what’s the use of a programme you can’t export your footage from? That’s a rhetorical question…
