I’m taking a DVX-100 to England next week. We’re traveling light, so we want to rent some equipment. Although we’ve got all the correct AC adapters for our equipment, I wanted to see if anyone has had any experience with lights over there, specifically the cycling rate. I want to make sure I’m not going to have to end up taking my own lights over there.

With florescents, sodium vapors and some tungsten lights you’ll potentially see flickering and pumping. You may wish to consult with a lighting company about potential options such as HMIs or just rent a PAL DVX100. The camera’s AC adapter should work fine, you just need a plug adapter to fit the plugs of the country you’re going to.
