    Hi Y’all,

I’m doing an interesting job where I am creating a video that will be split and projected onto 3 huge 16×9 screens using one video image. (Apparently the company I am contract with has done this before, so asking the event company to change their set up is not an option.) The event company has asked for a Quicktime that is in the dimensions 3840 x 720, so that is what I have set my sequence up in Premiere as.

However when I try to export, it seems that the widest Quicktime I can export is 2000 wide. When I check the box that says “export with sequence settings” it comes out as 1920 x 360…which appears to maintain the integrity of the aspect ratio but is just smaller than it should be.

Any ideas??? I’d prefer not to export this and then blow it up in the correct dimensions!

It depends which codec is selected. QuickTime H.264 seems to be limited to 2000 pixels, but exporting H.264 directly allows 3840×720 at Level 5.1. Alternatively, you can use a different QuickTime codec. I am able to specify 3840×720 with every standard QT codec except the DV’s, DVCPRO’s, and H.264.
