Issues between Illustrator and AE.
I have what is probably a silly question and most likely has a really obvious answer that I’m overlooking. When I try and copy an Illustrator CS3 path on to a solid in AE CS3, much of the time, it doesn’t paste. However, if I close AE, and then load it back up, it’ll paste just fine.
Any thoughts as to why this might be?
I’ve selected the “Preserve Paths” option in Illustrator options. The issue seems to be in AE as when I restart it, it works. Restarting is a big time pain in the a** though.

I get stuff like this all the time. Probably a RAM issue. Not much you can do other than re-start. Sometimes I can’t paste Text from word into AE, but if I shut down AE and restart it works.
In general, if something isn’t working, and you shut down AE and restart and you do the exact same thing and it works – you aren’t doing anything wrong.
