    Hello!

I’m hoping someone can give me some guidance.

Pans and zooms rendered in Vegas Pro 8 are appearing very “jerky.” Amazingly, I can render the same footage, captured from the same camera, in Windows Movie Maker and it is not nearly as pronounced. FYI, these are slow pans and zooms as well.

    Am I missing something?

    Just FYI, I’m shooting HD-24P with a JVC GY-HD110U.

    Thank you for any help.

    Mark

How is your project set up? Is is set to 24p? I believe for that camera you should be using HDV 720-24p (1280×720, 23.976 fps). Open the properties of one of the events and go to the media tab and make sure Vegas is correctly interpreting the footage as 24p.

Also what format and template are you rendering to? Try the AVI template HDV 720-24p intermediate and see how it looks.
