I’m working on a small project composed primarily of stills. I need the stills to be 120 frames long, I’ve gone to preferences and changed the still image default duration to 120 frames, but all my stills import into my timeline as 99 frames long. Using Premiere Pro 5.5.2 on OS X 10.6.8.

The default image duration only effects clips as they are Imported into the project. Once they’re in the bin already, changing the default duration in Prefs does not change length of existing stills, you’d need to do that manually. Any subsequent Imports of new stills would reflect the current default length.

That is what’s weird is I did change it before I Imported them, and the duration it was giving me wasn’t the default duration, or the new one, but one I’d never used before. I finally just scrapped the whole project and started over, still wasn’t giving me the right duration, so I rebooted everything, scrapped the sequence in the new project, made a new sequence and reimported everything and it seems to have taken this time.
