  • Issue with multiple precomps’ rotation with Slider control

Posted by Charles Boucher on May 30, 2013 at 6:33 pm

I’ve got two time-remapped pre comps (let’s call them Precomp 1 and 2) and I am trying to control their rotation with one slider control.

I’ve grouped other precomps together and they rotate at the same time with the same slider control.

Problem is with the precomps in question, the slider control affects Precomp 1’s rotation but does nothing for Precomp2’s rotation, and I have no idea why. I’ve pickwhipped their rotation properties to the same slider control.

Is there something I am missing? it seems AE is complicating something simple.

Just trying to figure out why it works for other precomps but not these two.

you could always make sure the little Equals sign/icon is on, sometimes it can be pressed by mistake.

Also if its for rotation not orientation, it might not be a bad idea to use an Angle Control instead.

If the above fails then you could maybe try precomping again after time-remapping.
