  Issue with media properties changing in mid-project

  I’ve had an issue pop up that I can’t seem to figure out, any help / advice would be much appreciated. Here’s the details:

  Working in Sony Vegas Pro 10 and was capturing HDV audio/video from Canon XHA1. I’ve been working on this project for several days now and I haven’t changed any project properties in the timeline.

  When I imported the newly captured HDV footage, I dragged a clip in the timeline and noticed that there was some audio waveform initially but then no audio waveform. Weird thing is I can’t playback the audio that is showing on the audio track. Video plays fine. I saved and closed this project to open another project that was working fine and now it has a dialogue window open upon launch saying basically that the project can’t be opened due to a stream change..??? And it’s asking me if I want to replace with “new media file” or “ignore…etc.” but it won’t open unless I make some decision. I’m confused….what happened?
