Issue with mapping AE Effects
Hi!
I have just taken a new position, and have been asked to revisit a project completed last year using AE v6. Since then, we’ve upgraded to v.6.5.1, and when opening the project files for it, I am getting the following error:
This project contains
references to missing effects. Please install the following effects to restore these references. (“FE Toner”) My understanding is that the ‘new’ equivalent effect is found in Effects|Image Control|CC Toner, but I still get the above error.
I have searched the knowledgebase, and found a couple of articles addressing similar issues (https://www.adobe.com/support/techdocs/310114.html, /324150.html) but neither of these present a useable solution for me.
Is there a ‘replace plugin’ option I’ve missed somewhere? *grin*
I’ve tried posting on the Adobe AE forum, but haven’t had any luck. Any suggestions would be welcomed.

Nope. I believe somewhere on AEnhancers.com or redefinery.com there’s a script that can generate a report of which effect is used on which layer. This might at least help you to track down the suspects.
