    after posting one issue i got another one

    the new issue

    the line of the video in the timeline is a yellow line

    it mean when i playback the timeline i only listen to the sound the video is frozen with the first frame when i pass on the timeline without displaying it i see the videos

    those videos are linked to ama but even when i import the line is not in yellow but still wont display the video

    my computer is a windows 7 64 bit avid 6.5 with service pack 1 i tried to put an older version it remain exactly the same 6.0.1 and 6.0.3 those versions worked perfectly before
    i reformated the comp this morning still the same

    o the video card ati radeon hd4800

    version of quicktime is the latest 7.7.2 i tried older didnt help

    it’s an internal hardrive with sata

    the project tyoe is 1080i/50

    the footages are it’s mts 1080i/50

    i posted this issue on the avid.com forum people told me it has something to do with the videocard
    but i tried downloading older version still the same everything worked great for a few month

    Video card or driver issue for sure. Just like they told you on the Avid community forum.
    You can ask the same question on every forum but you’ll get the same answer.
    Video playback is done via the graphic cards overlay function. stills and frame by are stepping aren’t so you will see still images ok and can frame step ok. But when you hit play Avid needs to play via the graphics overlay and that is driver specific.
    Right card right driver and it works.
