So I have a bit of a strange issue when importing r3d files into Premiere 5.5. Initially I imported all the footage from the drive that was given to me. Everything imported fine, but the drive was a 5400rpm drive so naturally it wasn’t very good for editing. I then copied all of the media over to my G-Tech Thunderbolt drive. I then reopened the project and tried to reconnect all the r3d’s to the same files on my Thunderbolt drive. About half of them wouldn’t connect and gave me the “Unsupported format or damaged file” error. I tried copying one file and then it imported fine. I assume it must just be an issue with copying everything at once and files getting corrupted? Is there anyway to resolve this other than copying files one at a time?
