I just received two batches of C300 video from a cameraman on a hard drive. One folder has the proper structure and has no problems. For the other card, he just copied the shot folders over and I can’t seem to get it to be recognized by any program. I tried recreating the folder structure CONTENTS>SHOT001>etc but still have no luck in FCP, MC, or Canon’s utility. I also tried dropping the shot folders into the functioning card folder with no luck either, it only saw the shots that belonged to that card. Based on advice from other posters, I took the MXF files and dragged them into MC, but it imports them all wonky.

I did notice that together with all the shot folder in the functioning SHOT001 folder, there is a file called INDEX.MIF. I assume that this is the file I need for the footage to be recognized? Is there any way to recreate it?

So based on other threads, I was able to search for the MXF files and drop those into MC. They all seem to have imported successfully.
