    Issue accessing MXF files

    Hi –

    I thought I posted this, but apparently not…

    Anyway, here’s my issue. Avid 2.8.3 on PC.

    We dumped off some P2 cards to a HD, then I moved the files I needed to a USB drive. In both cases we retained the entire folder structure, including the last clip text file.

    I dragged my Video and Audio files off the USB drive to my Avid RAID. Confirmed that they are there.

    But, when I use the Media Tool to find them and import them, they do not appear. My usual work flow is to do this directly off the P2 cards, when I’m tethered to the camera.

    Is there something I’m missing here?

    Could be wrong (I’m on a different release of Avid) but I think you will have to Import the files before Media Tool will recognise them.
