Okay folks a daunting little challenge. I am working with Trapcode Soundkeys and Audition 3.0, and have a problem I just cant solve no matter where I have looked.

PROBLEM: A music track with both a violin and piano, I need two soundkey layers – one for each; and no the instruments are not on separate tracks. This has been achieved before, I’ve watched a few (like Let yourself Feel)so I know it can be done. I definitely need the different values to push into Sound Keys.

SOLUTIONS: I’ve studied this track so often my ears and eyes are falling out, I know where every major solo and duet and begin (and thus isolated only those parts that need differentiation).

My question is what methods or filters could be applied to isolate, the signals I want (assuming this is even possible). For example in one segment there is a piano playing two chords, one with very high notes the other with a distinct pattern, is there a way to distinguish them?

    Thanks

    Mark
