Isolate and animate one part of a word in the same text layer
Hello!
I’m trying to isolate one part of a word on a text layer and animate it so it impacts the characters around it. The word is “incredible” and I want to make ‘red’ get bigger while the beginning and end of the word move to the side like they would if I just highlighted ‘red’ & changed the font size. I can get it to work with Source Text but it only gives the keyframe option of Toggle Hold (not animating over time). I’ve also played with Range Selectors, isolated ‘red’ and can animate it but it just makes those characters larger and overlap and doesn’t impact the characters on the outside. This can’t be as hard as I’m making it. Please halp! <3

Hold key frames are correct for source text, if you think about it. (What’s half way between A and B? for instance)
I think if I was doing this, I’d probably use three separate text layers and keyframe the scaling, rather than spend ages trying to force a single text layer to conform.
