Is Your Easy Setup for Kona ProRes NTSC 8-bit or 10-bit?
Decklink user here. The Blackmagic ProRes NTSC Easy Setup uses 8-bit capture and playback. This appears to be a mistake since ProRes records at 10-bit.
Can any of you Kona users check and see what your Easy Setup is? Look under Audio Video Settings and check “Video Playback” and “Capture Preset”. I want to see if this was a mistake Blackmagic made or if ProRes actually does record NTSC at 8-bit only.

The easy setups for the Kona cards correctly use 10-bit.

Thanks. Someone at Blackmagic got back to me. I guess they screwed up and made all their ProRes Easy Setups 8-bit.
