Is this possible to do? Alpha Channel related
Hi all,
So I’m wondering if there is some cool effect or plugin that can be applied to a layer that will make it act as hole to the alpha channel punching through everything below it.
So far my approach has been to make that layer Greenscreen green and then throwing a key to pull it, but that can lead to issues with other elements and such, leading to garbage mattes and other tedious items along with added render times.
So yeah. Just wondering if there is a magic button somewhere haha.

Hi Chris, I think you need a Track Matte. Lots of tutorials around to check to see if that’s what you want.

Change the layer’s blend mode to “Silhouette Alpha.”
