Looking for a version of FCP Studio 2, see lots of posts on ebay like this, what do you think? Is there a difference between academic versions and regular retail versions?

Academic versions cannot be upgraded.
Academic versions cannot be used for professional use.

Unless it’s changed in the last few months there is nothing in EULA about this.
