Is this acceptable behaviour?!
Hello Avid Gurus,
We have an SDI connection from our Avid MC Adrenaline vrs. 2.7.7 running into a DVC Pro deck. This is how we dub off our projects to tape. We do this on a daily basis.
Yesterday, I put a short video on tape, with no problems. Later in the afternoon, I had another project to put on tape, and there was no audio. OK… I reset the entire system (we usually end up doing this a couple/few times a day for various Avid error reasons) but still no audio. The cable was still hooked up. I had been editing all day, but didn’t really have any problems, other than the Access Violation Error which was overcome by restarting.
I consulted with our engineers, and one bright fellow with a memory better than mine went to the audio output settings, and sure enough SDI out was set to off!
There is no way possible this setting was changed. I did restart the application twice throughout the day, and the entire PC/Adrenaline box/Drives once, and that was it. This was less than an normal full day of editing.
How could this setting have possibly been changed?
Thanks,
-Mark
