Is there some sort of Search function in the browser?
I cant work this out, am i being dumb? In big projects with lots of bins, is there some way of searching for particular files (just type in the file name) without having to go in there and look manually?

You’re not being dumb, you’re just not thinking it could possibly be as easy as it is.
Just press command-f.
