When you select a clip and press command-c or Edit/Copy to copy the clip you’re simultaneously copying the effects and attributes for the clip as well. Simply select the other clip you’d like to paste the attributes to and then from the Edit menu select Paste Effects, or press command-option-v on your keyboard.

    Ah, brilliant. Big help. Thanks.

One last thing. How do you adjust and resave a colour preset once you’ve set it up?

Just type in the same name to replace the Preset.

Bear in mind that pasting attributes pastes ALL attributes – you can’t choose which to paste as you could in legacy FCP. At least removing the unwanted attributes is easier with the inspector pane. PITA I know, and I hope that Apple will be forthcoming in changing this.

    Thanks. Appreciated.

Pain only copies all attributes, but I guess you can pick and choose in the info pannel so they saw no need for an extra step.
