Is there any basic Text I/O format for Premire Pro.
I tried a CMX file but that did not work. The
clips were not imported, they were registered as
    offline.

Maybe I dont know hot this CMX import works.
I am currently using Premiere Pro 1.5

    Thanks,
    Bob

CMX EDL is only used for offline edit to online recapture. So it will always import all the edit decisions and offline clips that will be recaptured in the online high quality format based on the clips timecode and tape name (reel) info.
AAF will export/import your clips as a whole online format.

How many editors does it take to change a light bulb?

    Nothing simple about that.
I cant take a comma delimited list
some other simple text file and make an
    AAF far as I know.
    🙁

what is the workflow you are wanting… any text only file system will only refer to files that aren’t there. You would need to capture them again or relink them.

No it just means I have files from another
system and there is no common thread to link the two.
I found some stuff on the net that might work.
    Not sure.
