A bit petty but lets go ..
Does anyone know of another keyboard shortcut for moving one frame backwards / forward in the timeline,
besides PageUp / Page Down ?
Im woking on something that needs to go frame by frame and because I use my right hand for holding the pen,
my left hand has to go above the right each time I want to jump one frame which is kinda annoying.

    cheers

    Hi there,

just edit the “Adobe After effects 6.5 Shortcuts” textfile in an texteditor:

    it says this

    “TimeStepBack” = “(Cmd+LeftArrow)(PageUP)”

There is any way to configure a custom shortcut? for example:

    “9” = Previos Frame
    “0” = Next Frame

If not, what would be the workaround for MAC? pressing Command+Right Arrow is not ergonomic and waste or time

    Regards, Miguel

=^O Le gasp! That’s the problem with being self-taught. Alot of the keyboard shortcuts have eluded me.

This one in particular is huge. I’ve always known that there must be one but I always forget to search for it until I need it. Thank you all. I suddenly feel the need to go and rotoscope something…

Thanks so much… another question. Is there any shortcut for quick review?

You probably already found this answer but if you are actually painting in After Effects, the 1 and 2 keys become frame forward and backward short cuts.
