Is there an output resolution limit in Adobe Media Encoder?
Hey all,
I can’t seem to find any info on this with a Google search, but I was wondering if anyone knew of an upper limit in output resolutions for Adobe Media Encoder?
I have a requirement to export a video at a resolution of 9600×2160, which is the native resolution of a 5×2 video wall that it is to be displayed on. It is also a requirement that the video be in a format playable by Google Chrome.
So, this has lead me to look at Ogg Theora. Theora.org suggests the codec can handle resolutions up to 1048560 × 1048560, but while I can create and work with a project at my required resolution without any problems, Adobe Media Encoder doesn’t seem to allow me to use any horizontal resolution greater than 8192.
Is this a limitation of AME, or is it more likely to be a limitation of the specific Theora codec plugin I’m using with Premiere?
