Is there an expression references the effect?
Hi all.
Does anyone know of an expression that can reference the effect that it is in?
Something like a thisEffect much like the way you can use thisLayer
I was hoping to be able to do something like this:
thisEffect.name.length;

You can use propertyGroup() to go up the chain. For example, propertyGroup(1).name.length will give the length of the name of property group one level up, which might be the effect itself.
If not, try propertyGroup(2).name.length and so on until you get to the effect level.Dan

Thanks loads Dan. I’m using the expression:
propertyGroup().name.length;
and it’s returning the length of the effect name. Just what I was after.
