I have been working on a project that incorporates video clips and still images all of which are in a slow zoom motion. The problem is that some of the images produce some visual noise in areas of high contrast when displayed on both my video monitor, and when burned to DVD. I found that blurring the images in the problem areas reduces this noise, but there has to be a better solution. Any thoughts?

I’m guessing you are seeing some aliasing b/c there is too much detail in the pictures. By any chance are your images scaled to like 15% in motion b/c they are so large. If so that’s likely what’s causing the problem. Any large photos I get and need to use, I always bring into photoshop and resize them, usually to no bigger than double the dimensions of the project i’m working on, though most of the time i just rezise it to slightly above my dimenions enough to compensate the zoom or pan i’m doing.
