…make the video image bigger while I am trying to key a garbage matte? I’m blurring a license plate and going blind trying to do it with accuracy. It would be fantastic if I could blow up the license plate so I could really see the corners of it. Thanks for any help in advance.

Make the Viewer (or Canvas) Window as big as you like (for the time it takes you to work on something small).

Just drag the lower right-most corner of the window out and down.

After you’re done, drag it back to where it normally fits, then make sure you still have “Fit to Window” selected.

[Jason McCaffrey] “if I could blow up the license plate so I could really see the corners of it.”

You can open Universal Access in System Prefs and turn on Zoom, then in FCP select the Viewer and use “Apple =” to zoom in on the portion you want to work on.

    Best,

Simply zoom in on the Canvas: Command +++++++ gets you there the fastest.
