Is there a way to turn off the Kona card without removing it?
Hello everyone,
I’ve got a new Kona Lhi card and recently it stared making an anoying noise (it’s the fan). Have anybody had a similiar problem?
Is there a way to turn off the card (and the fan) when I’m not using it that doesn’t envolve physically removing the card?
Is the fan crucial for the card to work safetly?

Ps: I know, I’ll get it fixed, but I’m in Brazil at the moment and I can’t stop working for the next few months to get it replaced.

Yes. Most definitely the fan is needed during use.
Unfortunately, there is no way to turn the card off without removing it or disconnecting the fan.
Have you tried cleaning the fan? -

Have you tried contacting AJA? They might cross-ship one to you, they are pretty good about that.

I just meant with a can of compressed air (carefully). It might just be filled with dust or something.
If that doesn’t help, you should do what Matt suggested and contact AJA. They might just ship you a new card.
